Alexa joined LDA in 2012 as a law clerk in the Appellate Division and became an appellate attorney in 2014. She has handled misdemeanor and felony appeals involving a variety of issues, such as state and federal constitutional rights, the rules of evidence, sentencing, and sufficiency of the evidence.
Alexa graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2014. During law school, she was co-president of the Women’s Law Caucus and served as an articles editor on Utah Law Review, in which she published an article. Alexa also completed an internship with former Utah Supreme Court Justice, Ronald E. Nehring, and assisted her professor with the briefing of pro bono appeals in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
