Laina B. Arras graduated from the University of Utah in 1999 with a BA in Psychology and 2000 with an Honors BA in Philosophy. She graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2005. Laina began her legal career in child welfare law with the office of the Guardian ad litem, representing children in cases of alleged abuse and neglect. In 2010 she transitioned into criminal law as a prosecutor; she has worked with South Salt Lake and Washington County. In 2014 she began defense work; she has worked for Davis County; the US Virgin Islands; and privately. She joined LDA in April of 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Laina believes in humanity and fights tirelessly to protect the rights of her clients.
